Now’s a great time to plan your summer vacation, and if you’re looking for something different to do this year, try visiting one of the many great cities in the U.S. At EZWay Parking, we think one of these eight is worth a stay:
Chicago
During the winter months, Chicago becomes a cold and windy city, but during the summer, you’ll find locals out and about playing volleyball, heading to the beach, and enjoying a meal outside. You’ll also find firework shows, boat rides, festivals, and more.
Washington D.C.
The nation’s capital is a great place to visit in the summertime – especially since many of its memorials are outdoors. You’ll also catch jazz festivals, barbecues, fireworks, folk festivals, and other outdoor events. Head there for the 4th of July and you’ll catch concerts, a parade, and a memorable display of fireworks.
Portland
In the summertime, Portland, Oregon is known for its abundance of farmers’ markets, fresh seafood, outdoor cafes, and microbreweries. It’s also an incredibly active city where you’ll find locals bike riding, hiking, swimming, and more.
San Francisco
Locals love being outside in San Francisco. Head there during the summer and you’ll find live music, carnivals, food festivals, and water activities like crabbing, boating, and yacht racing. When all else fails, it’s a beautiful city to take in the sights.
Denver
The Mile High City is known for its great outdoor activities and lively locals, who enjoy everything from mountain biking to skiing to picnicking. The city is also home to a slew of summer festivals including the Chalk Art Festival, Underground Music Showcase, and Cherry Creek Arts Festival.
Anchorage
As you may have guessed, summer is the best time to visit Alaska. Visit Denali National Park, hike over 300 miles of hiking trails, catch some unique fish, or simply enjoy the beautiful sights of the Last Frontier.
Nashville
If you’ve never been to Music City, its nightlife, concerts, festivals, and restaurants make it a great place to visit in the summer. Get a healthy dose of music history, stroll through the beautiful parks, and don’t forget to catch a live show.
Honolulu
If a beach vacation is what you’re looking for, head to Honolulu, where you’ll not only find gorgeous beaches, but botanical gardens, historic landmarks, and beautiful views (including Diamond Head, an iconic former volcano) throughout the area.
